Guest Writing Center Support

The KU Writing Center is proud to offer our services to students from Haskell Indian Nations University. Haskell Indian Nations University students are welcome to make face-to-face appointments at any of our locations and email feedback appointments.

We are also able to offer writing consultations to KU Alumni on a case-by-case basis. If you're an alumnus and would like to see how the writing center can assist you with a project, contact Associate Director Brianna Hyslop at behyslop@ku.edu.

To make a guest appointment:

  1. Contact the Writing Center professional staff so that we can add you to our online appointment system. Call us at 785-864-2399 and ask to speak to the Associate or Assistant Director, or email us and provide a phone number where we can reach you.
  2. Check our hours and locations.
  3. Schedule your appointment by calling the Writing Center at 785-864-2399. Let us know type of appointment you're interested in and your date/time preferences. We'll work with you to schedule your appointment while you're on the phone.
  4. You will receive an email confirming your appointment.

If you need to change or cancel your appointment, call the Writing Center. Otherwise, simply show up a few minutes before your appointment and check in with the person at the front desk.

Note: The KU Writing Center is a service available to the entire KU student body, and as a result during busy times of the semester such as midterms and the last month of classes our appointments are in high demand. During busy periods we recommend calling to schedule an appointment 3-4 days in advance.

We regret that we are unable to provide guest access for real-time online consultations.

The KU Writing Center is closed for the winter break.
